A newsletter from the Provincial Women's Board: September 2014 A note from our President: Dear Sisters in Christ, As president of the Provincial Women for 2014-2016, I greet you.  The Board has a number of new members, who were elected at Synod, and we look forward to serving you in the coming years. I look forward to visiting in your churches and sharing in your activities. Our Bible and Mission Studies will be previewed at that time. The Rev. Ginny Tobiassen will be our speaker. It is also time to be thinking of the 12th Moravian Women's Conference which will be next June, 2015,  in North East, Maryland.  Go on line to moravianwomensconference.org for details. 2014 Fall Celebration and Study Book Work Shop

On Saturday, September 6, 2014,  79 women gathered at the beautiful Oak Grove Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for the Fall Celebration and Study Book Workshop. There were 19 churches represented at the event that is held each year for all women of the Southern Province. Reverend Judy Knopf led us in a moving worship service. Reverend Ginny Tobiassen led the Bible Study Workshop, presenting the book "Prayer Your Greatest Privilege" by Bishop Robert Iobst. As always Ginny spoke of many ideas to being new life to this beloved book first published in 1986. Reverend Patty Garner reviewed the mission book for this year: "Women in Mission, Making a Difference in our World" Volume II. She also shared with the attendees the many heartwarming successes of the Unity Women's Desk. The 2015 Budget for the Provincial Women's Board was presented and approved by the women present.
