Christ the King Church-Durham, NC

Carols will provide a festive air and homemade gifts and goodies will abound at the Christmas Bazaar at Christ the King Church on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Specialties such as Moravian sugar cakes and Mrs. Hanes Moravian cookies in several tasty varieties will be available for sale, as well a large selection of homemade baked goods. One of the biggest sellers are the church’s traditional Moravian chicken pies. Many patrons “stock up” and freeze baked goods in preparation for the upcoming holidays.
Unique homemade crafts such as jewelry, Thanksgiving and Christmas décor, wreaths, purses, and knitted items will be featured. Other popular gift items are decorated, pre-mixed soup and cookie recipe jars. Get a jump on your Christmas shopping for neighbors, teachers, and family members that treasure a personal touch.
The event will include live Christmas music. Warm biscuits, coffee, and cider will be sold by Christ the King’s Youth while you shop.
The Moravian Christmas Bazaar is this Saturday, November 5 from 9am – 12pm, at 4405 Hope Valley Road.  The annual event raises funds for missions both local and abroad. Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted.
